What to expect
1) Free Introductory Call
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help you decide if my approach feels right for you. It’s a chance to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
2) Book an Appointment
If you'd like to move forward, we’ll agree a date for your initial appointment and I’ll send over an intake form to complete beforehand.
3) Assessment
The first 1–3 appointments are dedicated to assessment. During this time, we’ll explore your current difficulties, personal history, and what support you’re seeking.
4) Treatment Planning
Through the assessment we will develop a shared understanding of your experiences and collaboratively agree on therapeutic goals and a treatment plan that feels right for you.
5) Therapy
Sessions last for 50 minutes and are offered either online or, in person in Berkhamsted. How many sessions are needed depends a lot on what you are hoping to change in therapy. Some people find that a few sessions of focused support is enough to help them feel less stuck. Others benefit from longer-term work over several months or more.
I work in a focused way with clear therapeutic goals, which we’ll review regularly to ensure we’re on track. You’re never tied into therapy and are always in control of the process.
